Kelly is excited to serve as the SMPS SRC 2027 Chair. After years of being part of SRC planning efforts, this isn’t her first rodeo, and she’s now taking the reins to shape this year’s conference from the ground up.
A Past President of SMPS Austin, Kelly brings years of chapter leadership experience and a genuine passion for connection within the SMPS community. She’s especially excited about this year’s theme, Steer Your Brand, and the opportunity to create space for real connection and the kind of moments that keep people coming back to SRC year after year.

Kristi Warren
Co-Owner | Best Companies, Inc.
Kristi Warren, Co-Owner of Best Companies, Inc., is excited to serve as Chair-Elect for the 2027 SMPS SRC. With years of leadership on the SMPS Oklahoma board, including roles as Chapter President and Director of Programs and Director of Education, Kristi brings deep experience in event planning, collaboration, and strategic organization. She thrives on building connections and coordinating strong teams, skills that will help shape a dynamic and successful conference experience for SMPS members across the region.

At SRC, the sense of community is Chris's favorite aspect, reuniting with friends from across the region, some spanning decades, fills him with joy and gratitude. The relational heartbeat of SRC is unmistakable, felt in shared laughter, warm embraces, and genuine interest in each other's lives beyond marketing or business development roles.
Volunteering for SRC has been an enriching journey that has broadened Chris's perspective on the multifaceted world of SMPS. Seeing six chapters converging in one vibrant space, witnessing their growth, skill refinement, and relationship cultivation has been nothing short of awe-inspiring. Being part of the conference's planning committee, knowing that his contributions played a role in shaping the attendees' experience, is immensely gratifying. It's a testament to the power of collective effort and community spirit, where each volunteer's dedication adds another layer of depth to the event's success.

Programs Chair
Andrea Starr, CPSM
Senior Proposal Coordinator | Garver
Andrea is excited to step into the Programs Chair role for 2027 SMPS SRC, where she's leading the charge on shaping an educational program that's equal parts insightful, practical, and engaging for attendees. She has served on the SRC Programs Committee since 2024, supporting speaker selection and coordinating much of the behind-the-scenes logistics that help bring these conference sessions to life. Andrea is actively involved in SMPS North Texas, where she leads the CPSM subcommittee and serves on the Membership Committee. She's known for her love of strategy, organization, and building processes that actually work for people, not against them.

Amanda Wheeless, CPSM
Business Development and Marketing Director | Miller Gray
Amanda Wheeless, CPSM, is thrilled to serve as Sponsorship Chair for SMPS SRC 2027, where she'll combine creativity, connection, and a little business development magic to help make the conference a success.
As Marketing and Business Development Director at Miller Gray, she brings more than 15 years of AEC experience, a people-first approach, and a former journalist's energy for storytelling and building meaningful connections. Passionate about creating valuable opportunities for engagement, Amanda is excited to bring her enthusiasm, creativity, and relationship-focused mindset to SRC 2027 and help cultivate a sponsorship experience that is impactful, collaborative, and memorable.
Outside of work, she enjoys hiking the Hill Country with her husband and two curious kiddos, traveling the world, volunteering with organizations like the Fertility Foundation of Texas, listening to 80s tunes, and expanding her ever-growing flock of backyard chicks.

Communications Chair
Marisa Jarmon
Marketing Communications Specialist | Meeks Marketing
Marisa brings 16 years of marketing experience specializing in graphic design, strategic communications, marketing collateral, and event management. She spent 11 years with a Central Texas-based construction company and was actively involved with SMPS Austin, serving on the board for five years and helping establish the Special Events Committee.
Now working as a freelance MarCom Specialist, she supports a variety of A/E/C firms through Meeks Marketing and serves as a consultant for ULI Austin, where she manages communications, digital presence, and collateral.
As Communications Chair for SMPS SRC 2027, Marisa brings that same range of experience to every aspect of the conference's communications.

Social Chair
Alex Wadley
Marketing Coordinator | Salas O'Brien
Alex Wadley is a Marketing Coordinator at Salas O'Brien, where she supports the Acoustics, Technology, and Theatre Consulting team in Addison, Texas. With a background in A/E/C marketing, public relations, and event planning, she enjoys bringing people, ideas, and experiences together in meaningful ways.
She serves as Director of Membership Engagement for SMPS North Texas, and as Social Chair for the 2027 SMPS SRC, she's focused on creating events that feel welcoming, engaging, and genuinely fun.
Outside of work, Alex enjoys cooking, gardening, and is always looking for a reason to laugh.

Finance Chair
Bessy Segovia
Marketing Coordinator | Quorum Architects
Bessy Segovia is a Marketing Coordinator at Quorum Architects, a Fort Worth-based architecture and interior design firm. With three years of experience in the A/E/C industry, she brings a blend of creative vision and strategic thinking to marketing efforts that champion the firm's culture and innovative design approach. A proud member of the SMPS North Texas chapter, Bessy is excited to serve as Finance Chair for SMPS SRC 2027, managing the planning committee's budget, overseeing payments, and helping deliver another successful conference. With this year's SRC hosted right in her stomping grounds, this Fort Worth local is ready to make it one for the books, no bull.

Planning Committee Members
Volunteer to serve on one of these committees in the months leading up to the conference.
- Finance – Responsible for on-site registration before and during the event
- Sponsorship – Reach out to companies to ask for conference sponsors
- Programs – Plan all the breakout sessions: Review submittals and select speakers to curate diverse perspectives and high-quality content
- Communications – All things marketing: email blasts, social media, video creation, signage, etc.
- Social – Plan all the social events around the conference: Thursday Night Social, Wednesday Night Welcome, and Restaurant Round-Up
On-Site Volunteers
Volunteer to help our Planning Committees throughout the event.
- Session Moderator – Help facilitate the session by introducing the speaker, assisting with any logistical tasks during the presentation (e.g., handling microphones, distributing materials), and ensuring a smooth transition for the next session speaker
- Restaurant Round-Up Champions – Researches and makes reservations for group dinner, organizes their group before dinner and oversees smooth travel from the conference venue to the restaurant
- Registration Help – Set up and help with registration during the pre-conference workshops, first-timers forum & CPSM-only events, welcome reception, and registration shifts throughout the conference as well as tear-down following Friday Fare
